Projects

The Star Wars Jedi Vending Machine
Futuristic vending machine operated using hand gestures and pneumatic air cannon
• Created a physical working prototype using Intel Perceptual computing SDK and Arduino
• Designed a playful experience for a movie theatre audience and made them feel like a Jedi

Bedtime Stories
Connecting children and parents separated by distance with interactive bedtime stories
• Used Microsoft Kinect and projection on celing as a way to tell interactive stories
• Arduino and a physical storybook which can record audio is used at the other end
• It is an effort toward design of smart homes and internet of things

Saber Fighters
Sword fighting style gesture based game for the Intel Perceptual Computing Challenge
• Designed and developed a game with Intel Perceptual Computing SDK and Unity 3D
• Created 3D models of game characters and animated them using Blender 3D

Intellihoop
A hacked basketball hoop for kids which encourages to try harded
• Used Arduino to hack an analog basketball hoop so that it can give audiovisual feedback
• Designed the electronic circuits and developed the code for the arduino

BioDigital Human NUI
A Natural User Interface for an online application used to study human anatomy
• Created a gesture based 3D user interface using Microsoft Kinect
• Designed for using a NUI in an educational setting and tested its usefulness

Borude, S. Why natural user interfaces fail in the wild (editing)
This paper is about understanding the reason of failure of natural user interfaces when they are
used in the real world and design considerations for making them usable, useful, and desirable
